5-INGREDIENT KETO CHOCOLATE LAVA CAKE
The best thing about this dessert is that you don't have to buy to many ingredients, its quite simple and you can prepare it fast. The looks of the little cakes are stunning which makes this recipe great for special occasions (even to be served to people who are not in keto). Before cooking, make sure you buy high-quality products, especially be careful with the almond flour.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 oz unsweetened chocolate (55g), at least 85% cocoa solids
- 1 tbsp super-fine almond flour
- 2 oz butter unsalted, plus more for greasing ramekins
- 2 eggs
- 3.5 tbsp powdered sweetener (So Nourished) or more, depending on the chocolate you use
HOW TO PREPARE
The first step is to have the chocolate mixture ready. Melt the chocolate together with the butter. Use a mixer and combine the eggs, the melted chocolate substance and add almond flour while mixing. Stir and add the sweetener. Continue mixing until you have a dough-like pourable substance.
Grease ramekins with butter and pour the substance inside each of them.
Put the ramekins (for this amount you will have about 2, but it depends on what kind of ramekins you use- always follow this ratio of ingredients) in a pre-heat oven at 350F.
Bake for about 9 minutes until the top of the cakes is set but still jiggly- be careful not to over-bake because you will ruin the true experience.
Flip the ramekins onto serving plates and set the cakes. Decorate with powdered sweetener and other berry-like fruits or something that you find appropriate to your taste. Enjoy!
