KETO AVOCADO FRIES RECIPE
It is truly an amazing feeling to discover that some of your favorite foods come in an absolutely delicious keto version. For instance, fair foods are on this list. Fried fair foods such as avocado fries are an excellent snack choice while in keto.
Most of us know that the avocado stands among the most popular keto foods for many reasons. Avocados are low in carbs, very healthy and rich in nutrients. Today we share one recipe that is popular and delicious with a base ingredient- avocado. Let’s check the ingredients and preparation/cooking procedure of this recipe.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 large firm and ripe avocados peeled and pitted
- juice of one lemon
- 1 large egg whisked
- 1 cup superfine blanched almond flour
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- cooking oil spray
HOW TO PREPARE
The most important thing about this recipe is the keto breading. This type of breedings is carefully constructed to be low in carbs and very delicious in combination with avocado, but also with other foods and ingredients. The keto-friendly readings are usually based on almond flour.
Cut the avocado in ¾ inch thick slices (appr. 14 slices per avocado). Put the slices on a baking sheet with parchment paper. If you don’t like the bitterness of avocado, squeeze lemon juice and let them rest for a while before baking.
Prepare the coating ingredients. Blend the parmesan cheese together with the almond flour until everything is evenly mixed. Put the coating and the whisked egg in separate medium bowls.
The last phase begins with dipping each avocado slice into the whisked egg and then covering nicely with the prepared breading. Do this with each avocado slice.
Put the baking sheet with the coated avocado slices in the air fryer basket. The avocado breadsticks must not overlap or touch while baking.
Bake the avocado slices on 375F and cook for about 10 minutes until the avocado fries are ready- they should turn golden brown and crispy on the outside. Serve the fries while hot to enjoy the ultimate satisfaction. Feel free to experiment with spices and, also, you can squeeze more lemon for a stronger taste.
