LOW CARB KETO CHOCOLATE DONUTS
The final result of this recept must be a completely satisfying experience. If you follow the steps carefully and have little experience in the kitchen you will be able to achieve great results. The most important thing is that this recept is KETO-FRIENDLY. You shouldn't worry about carbs, you can simply enjoy the donuts and return back to your childhood with their original traditional taste.
One important thing about this recipe (and almost every other keto dessert recipe) is to know that high-quality products truly matter and make a difference. If you want to optionally use some syrups, food colorings or sprinkles, make sure they are sugar-free and low in carbs.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup / 100g almond flour or ground almonds
- 40 g / 1.4 oz unsweetened chocolate melted (3 tbsp)
- 40 g / 1.4 oz butter, very soft 3 tbsp
- 3 tbsp cocoa powder unsweetened
- 4 eggs
- 1/3 cup / 55 g powdered sweetener (So Nourished)
- 4 tbsp heavy / double cream
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 60 g / 2.1 oz unsweetened chocolate
- 8 drops stevia or 2 tsp powdered erythritol
HOW TO PREPARE
Use a food processor or a regular bow to mix the ingredients for the donut dough. Mix the cream, butter, and sweetener. After this, simultaneously add eggs and vanilla extract. Mix the substance nicely, you need everything to blend equally. Then, pour the unsweetened melted chocolate together with cocoa powder, baking powder, and almond flour. Blend again until you have a smooth homogenous dough.
Preheat your oven to 350F and grease a donut pan. You can use different types of donut pans according to the size you want, but smaller is recommended. Add 1 spoon of the donut dough substance to each hole. Always pay attention to how you fill the holes because you must not overfill a hole. Also, the batter must be equally deployed around the circle space in each hole.
Bake the donuts for 13 to 15 minutes. Once they are ready, melt the rest of the chocolate in a water bath (not over direct heat, but over boiling water steam- just use 2 bowls, 1 with hot water and one empty on top to melt the chocolate).
Wait for just a while for the chocolate to cool and then dip the baked donuts in the freshly melted chocolate. This is the end of the 'voyage'- now you can decorate, serve and enjoy your keto chocolate donuts.
