Keto Beef Stroganoff Recipe

Beef Stroganoff is one of the most popular Russian recipes spread throughout the entire world. The recipe that we share in our article is an awesome keto version of the traditional Beef Stroganoff. The recipe dates as popular Russian dish since the 18th century.

KETO BEEF STROGANOFF RECIPE

This recipe is quite special. This keto beef stroganoff can be included in any low-carb diet. Also, it's great for those who follow protein-based diets (bodybuilders etc). 

The keto Beef Stroganoff can be one of your options to refresh and enrich your holiday dinner menu. Surprise your family and friends with this spectacular food. This recipe goes well with cauliflower mash, rice, zucchini noodles or sweet potato side dishes. Let's check the ingredients and preparation:

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 tbsp avocado oil
  • 3/4 pound steak in bite-size pieces
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tbsp parsley, fresh and chopped
  • 1 tsp Salt and pepper

HOW TO PREPARE

Put a large skillet over medium heat and pour the avocado oil. Put the beef in the skillet and saute for about 2 minutes until the meat turns lightly browned.Once the beef is nicely cooked, remove from the skillet and set aside. Then, use the same skillet and salute mushrooms, garlic and onions until they are fully cooked-this can take up to 5-6 minutes.

After the mixture is cooked, add the beef back to the skillet. Pour the mixture and the meat with beef broth and heavy cream. Stir well and bring the homogenous substance to a boiling point.

This procedute will give thickness to the sauce. Once the substance is boiled, turn the heat to low and simmer for about 15 minutes. Your goal is to cook very tender beef. 

In the end, add seasonings, salt and pepper. Stir again nicely and your keto beef Stroganoff is ready to be served. Garnish with parsley. Bon apetite!
